A Blurry Introduction to NZ

My first week in Dunedin came and went like a storm. It was a mash-up of new bars, new people, new friends and an atmosphere unlike home. Too many nights were spent at The Cook (pictured as many remember it on the left) but it was a great introduction to Dunedin night life and kept me far away from the burning couches. Yes, they actually burn couches in the street.

My nightly walks home from the bar would take me down Cumberland Street past the Tip Top - one of the best places to get lollies (or candy as we call it in Canada). Its a good thing they are closed at 3am, or I would find myself eating a handfull of chocolate fish (the best chocolate covered marshmallows).
